Exciting yet sad day.

Today, my husband received the Melchizedek priesthood. I am proud and so happy for him. This makes us one step closer to being sealed in the temple. :)

Why is today a sad day then, you ask? I'm sad because I have no family to share this great news with. No one in my family is LDS and not only would they not know what this means, but they wouldn't understand how important it is. It also makes me sad just thinking about the day when we get sealed in the temple... how we will have no family there with us (unless of course some of my family decides to convert.)

I'm trying not to dwell on the sad aspect of it and just continue to be happy about the good of the day.

It's also because today we said goodbye to our Bishop. :( He is such an amazing man. He is selfless, caring, humble, and such a great example. He's been there for us since we moved here two years ago and I am so very grateful. He was going to shake our hands like he usually does, but my awesome husband asked if we could hug him instead. I say my husband is awesome because I was going to ask if I could hug him too lol. Our Bishop said that we have to promise that when we are sealed in the temple, that he is invited. He also said that when he comes to visit Hawaii, that we should expect him on our doorstep hehe. I love him. He's an amazing man. My husband is an amazing man and I am blessed.
