I'm back.

So I have a lot to update on but it may be in a few different posts. First off I'll talk about Tayven's testing. On Friday he had to go to testing for preschool. I think he passed it lol. Hopefully he didn’t. I say this because if he passed it then he would start in August and it would be $50 a month but if he didn't pass then he would start this month and go for free.

He did act shy and kinda silly. When they would ask him questions he would look at me. He knew a lot of the things they tested him on. He only got a few things wrong. There were five categories he was tested on. It was cognitive, communication, motor skills, adaptive, and personal/social. He answered questions I didn’t even think he would answer. Like the lady asked him “Tayven if you were playing with a friend and she broke her leg, what would you do?” He said” tell somebody” Then she asked him “If a man said he has candy and tells you to come in his car, would you go with him” He said “no” while shaking his head :D Oh then she asked “If you were at a friends house playing and you didn’t want to play anymore what would you do?” He said “not play anymore” ! LOL duh? :P
He is writing at 7 or 8 year old level. The lady was surprised and called the manager over to ask if she should keep going hehe. I was like oh no! now you’re not going to get in for free :P but it’s ok I was proud of him. They said they would let me know and give me a call next week. I'm hoping they call tomorrow. It was overall a great experience because I found areas where he needs improvement and it was also nice to watch and see him put to use everything I taught him
If he passed it and I have to pay I don't think I'll send him because like Kili said, I've been teaching him everything he knows and he said I can teach him what they will without paying lol. I was doing it more for the social interaction but I don't know yet. We'll see.

  1. It sounds like your already doing a great job teaching him, but I do know how nice it is to get that little break when he's at school so I hope he gets in free! Sept Ill have 2 kids in pre-school and be home with just Javier.

  2. Thanks. I don't want to send him to school for a break.. it's because of the social interaction. He needs to be around kids his age and he wants to go. :)

  3. I wish I could have sent Caelyn to pre-school for $50 a month! He had to get tested for it? I know I'm way behind on these posts, but I figured I'd start reading from the beginning :)
